Patrick's passion for teaching began at Loyola High School where he participated in the peer tutoring program. Since graduating, he has tutored over 100 students in a broad range of topics at all levels, although his current specialty is CEGEP science and math courses. His philosophy is centered on mental coaching and confidence development - skills which Patrick firmly believes can be applied in all aspects of life. He is currently doing a Ph.D. with the Department of Pathology at McGill University and coaching his beloved wrestling team at Loyola High School.

Mackenzie is a recent graduate of the Lower Canada College's pre-university program, where he completed AP calculus with a perfect grade. He is also a proud Old Boy of the Selwyn House School. Since an early age, Mackenzie has been a strong student athlete, and has thus mastered the skills of time management and mental resilience. He is currently enrolled at McGill University where he he studies economics and is a starter for their tennis team.

Ian is currently a student at McGill University studying finance. He specializes in quantitative methods and investment management and is involved in the McGill Bankers International Association. Outside of academics, Ian is a lifelong martial artist, training in boxing and kickboxing during high school and Cegep. Ian understands that academic achievement requires analytical thinking and discipline. He instills these two skills in his students using a teaching method axed on positive encouragement.

Loyola High School is where Matthew discovered a genuine passion for the sciences. The support he received from countless teachers is what inspired him to continue the tradition of effective teaching. Matthew has played competitive hockey and soccer his entire life, which taught him team play, time management, discipline, and leadership: these are the qualities he wishes to pay forward to those he tutors. Matthew firmly believes that a tutor is responsible for a tutee's entire academic well-being, and embraces this responsibility in his work.

Cristian graduated in 2023 from Concordia University with a degree in actuarial mathematics, has passed 6 actuarial exams, and is currently studying for his remaining 4. He is extremely passionate about mathematics which he loves sharing with his students. He even works on solving complex problems during his own time. Cristian's teaching philosophy is focused on clear communication and boiling down difficult concepts to their essence. Understanding the fundamentals gives students the skills to tackle problems independently.

Anthony holds a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from McGill University and will soon return to McGill to pursue a Masters of Arts in Teaching, aspiring to teach in high school. He specializes in math, science and computer programming and is very passionate about all three subjects. He is currently tutoring a dozen students at various levels and is a substitute teacher at a few high schools in Montreal. His passion for teaching is rooted in his curiosity and love for learning.
He is also interested in philosophy and spends much of his spare time reading.

Andrew’s love of math and commerce began at Loyola High School where he had the opportunity to run his own business called Taco Loco. He loves working with people which is why he decided to pursue tutoring as a part time job during his studies at Marianopolis College. Andrew has always taken academics seriously and even won the Academic Achievement award at his high school. Andrew is also an avid athlete, playing hockey and golf for which he will be pursuing a scholarship at the University level.

Justin began tutoring while he was in high school, teaching children at his local elementary school. Throughout his studies in electrical engineering, he continued assisting CEGEP and University-level students, focusing on math and physics courses. Outside of school, Justin has spent many summers at a wilderness camp teaching outdoor leadership skills to young adults. He currently works in the field of sustainable mobility, applying his knowledge to make public transport networks more green. In his spare time he loves sharing his passion for math and physics with his students!

Emma discovered her passion for biology while studying Health Sciences at Marianopolis College. She is currently planning on pursuing her studies in the Life Sciences undergraduate program at Queen's University. She has a curious, positive mindset and promotes critical thinking over memorization, a rarity in the field of biology. Beyond academics, Emma loves to cook, bake, and travel.

Thomas is currently completing his final semester at Queen’s University studying electrical engineering. He specializes in E&M, a subject he has encountered in most of his courses in the past four years. Thomas has mastered time management, having played rugby for the university as well as being involved with extra curriculars such as directing IT for the Queen’s Space Conference all while taking full course loads. Having been a student for a long time, he knows what it takes to not only understand key concepts, but how to retain and apply them to ace courses. 

Lucas is a dedicated Queen’s Commerce student with a passion for education and community development. As an aspiring leader, Lucas is committed to helping Grade A Tutoring thrive by bringing their business to Kingston and they aim to act as a proud representative for the city, fostering strong relationships with local students and families. By combining innovative strategies and a personal touch, Lucas is focused on creating impactful educational experiences that empower both University and High School students, and help them reach their full potential.

Jackie started tutoring during her time at Marianopolis College, where she graduated at the top of her class in Pure and Applied Sciences and was awarded the honor of valedictorian for the graduating class of 2024. She has since began a degree in engineering at Queen's University, where she currently tutors first year calculus and physics courses. Jackie is passionate, kind, and emphasizes clear and accurate communication to simplify complex course material. In her free time, she dances and coaches at the highest level, demonstrating her commitment to excellence in all areas of her life.

Ben is a first-year Economics student at Queen’s University with a strong dedication to creating positive changes and community engagement. During the summer, Ben runs his own cleaning business, Spotless Solutions, in Vancouver, BC. Currently helping to run and represent Grade A Tutoring, Ben works to connect students in Kingston with high-quality educational support. In connecting with fellow students and blending his economics studies with an interest in mentorship, Ben strives to foster meaningful relationships within the Kingston community while promoting the company’s mission to empower learners.
